FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (1) Will I be charged by the hour or a flat rate? The Law Office of Aparna Davé takes most matters on a flat rate. (2) If the matter is by the flat rate, what exactly does that include or exclude? I request you to visit my website at www.aparnadave.com where you will see the fee chart that gives a breakdown of attorney fee and government fee. After you have reviewed the fee chart, please contact me if you have any further question on fees. (3) For example, if the original petition is denied and the lawyer needs to file an appeal, will that be included in the flat rate? The flat fee includes responses to any inquiries from the INS. However, if an appeal is filed, I will charge extra for the appeal. (4) How much experience does your firm have with this particular kind of immigration case [i.e., Green Card]? I have processed over 500 Green Card petitions in the last six years. (5) Do you only accept a client who has NO potential to have his or her petitions denied or anyone who wants to give a try? If a petitioner has the correct papers and is eligible to apply in a given category, I will take that client. I do not understand the meaning of "wants to give a try." I believe that the only category for which a petitioner's attitude should be "wants to give a try" is the Green Card lottery. For all other categories, I believe that the petitioner's attitude should be "I will get it," not that I "want to give a try." I will help the petitioner achieve his/her goal. (6) What are the denial rates in the past of such case [i.e., Green Card] in your firm? Zero. (7) If possible, could you provide me some references from clients? Yes, I can provide you with references from my clients. Also, please check the references on my website. For further information, send your questions to Aparna Davé. |
